About

Columbus Chamber Singers was founded in 1988 as a small, all volunteer, mixed chorus, performing a varied repertoire of classical, sacred, secular, and popular music. Our concert season usually consists of formal concerts that are free to the public, along with community service engagements at public libraries, and retirement homes. We have performed with the Columbus Metropolitan Orchestra, the Upper Arlington Civic Orchestra, the Brass Band of Columbus, and the Gay Men’s Chorus. In 2001, we participated in the Innsbruck International Choral Festival in Austria. During the summer of 2003, we traveled to Italy, where we performed concerts in Rome, Florence, and Venice. We also participated in a mass at St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican.

For our 20th anniversary season, we performed at the historic Southern Theatre in Downtown Columbus on May 10, 2008, with over 400 people in attendance. Our website banner is a snapshot of a rehearsal at the Southern Theatre.
